Clear expression begins with clear understanding. Palm Tree School’s Speech and Communication class helps students develop both through research, presentations, and thoughtful participation in group discussions.

Preparing a presentation requires students to understand their subject and decide how to explain it to an audience. They learn to bring ideas together and communicate what they have studied with clarity. These abilities support their work across academic subjects and help them participate more confidently in school life.

Discussion requires care for the listener as well as confidence in speaking. Students are encouraged to listen attentively, consider different contributions, and express their views respectfully. This work is closely connected to the Islamic manners that shape the school’s approach to learning and relationships.

The class also develops students’ confidence in addressing larger groups. Our aim is to help young people speak with purpose, prepare carefully, and recognize the responsibility that comes with having an audience. These habits provide a foundation for thoughtful participation and student leadership.
